Super Normal is a manifesto in which Jasper Morrison and Naoto Fukasawa illustrate their idea of what design ought to be: objects that measure up to the reality of everyday life. In a conversation with Fumiko Ito, the two designers describe their concept of "Super Normal" as a special quality that permeates objects, be they anonymous or conceived with "aesthetic intent": a quality that is not restricted to visual appearance but concerns how the objects are perceived through their use.
